What we do: We are a UK registered charity that assists children suffering from malnutrition and lack of education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We do this by offering financial support to a feeding centre which provides daily nutritious meals to 150 malnourished children living in an impoverished district of the capital, Kinshasa. We offer primary school education to very poor children in the same area. We also support a project to rehabilitate and educate former street children in the town of Basankusu in north west DR Congo. Continuous funding is required for these programmes so as to maintain the great improvements we have seen in the health and education of the children in these communities.
Non-cash donations needed: We welcome financial support for our programmes to bring better nutrition, health and education to some of DR Congo's poorest children. Donations can be sent online via the yellow PayPal 'Donate' button on our website www.congolesechildren.org.uk. Alternatively, we can accept cheques made out to "Caring for Congolese Children", and standing orders standing orders in UK Pounds - please contact us for details. We regret we are not able to accept goods or materials.
