What we do: Cotlands is a non-profit community development organisation that actively seeks solutions to community problems. Our primary objective is to intervene in communities to build capacity in caring for children. We are active in six provinces of South Africa where we offer integrated community-based programmes. Our primary beneficiaries are orphaned and vulnerable children who, in many instances, have been impacted by HIV/AIDS. Cotlands’ integrated programmes are community-based resources that offer care and support to poor and vulnerable children and their families. We provide a carefully co-ordinated array of services to assist children and their families to ensure their protection, survival and psychosocial development.
We need volunteers to: As a volunteer at Cotlands we would like you to enhance the lives of the children in our residential care and indigent children in the community. Your donations can make this possible. A cooperation between our integrated education, health and psychosocial team and management ensures that the children receive exactly what is needed for their development and social skills. Examples of working groups: Toy library – admin assistance, Play group session facilitation, Homework assistance, One-on-one play supervision and facilitation, Memory book (scrapbooking), Baby stimulation and baby gym, Donation drop-off point.
