Who we are: Dost UK was set up in December 2010 and supports the work of Dost Welfare Foundation in the north of Pakistan. Dost Pakistan was founded in 1992 and works with marginalised and stigmatised people which include street children, drug addicts, HIV+ people, prisoners, refugees, and the general community. Our services include rehabilitation, life and vocational skills training, education, therapy and reintegration into community.
Type of knowledge or skills needed: At Dost UK, we would like volunteers who could help with year end accounts, fundraising ideas and marketing.

Dost has received several awards, and the founder Dr Parveen, has been the subject of a documentary by Academy Award Winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy in 2012. Dr Parveen was also nominated for "1000 women for the Nobel Peace Prize". Further details available at www.dostuk.org/awards-nomination.
