Education for Development

Who we are: 
Education for Development (EFD) is an international organization that works with Vietnamese partners to improve and expand their educational services for disadvantaged children and youth.
Type of knowledge or skills needed: 
Office based part time Volunteers that work at the EFD office for a minimum of four hours a week. On-line volunteers that work from home and assist EFD in the areas of translation, website maintenance, newsletter designs etc. Specialist volunteers with specific skills to assist EFD for a period of time.
Non-cash donations: 
EFD also accepts volunteers participating in student intern projects, corporate volunteer programs, and other volunteer referral programs. In each of these cases, however, a special agreement must be in effect with the organization from where the volunteers originate and must identify responsibility for management and care of the volunteers.

Volunteers have always been integral to the work of Education for Development. EFD was founded by volunteers in 1996 and they continue to make an important contribution to our work. In the last five years, EFD has benefited from volunteers from all corners of the world. If you have an interest in providing fair and equal access to education for children in Vietnam, volunteer opportunities are available in the following countries: Belgium, The Netherlands, and Vietnam.
